The Trust, utilizing donations, grants and income from previous successful projects, establishes cooperative working relationships with countries whose coastal waters have not been adequately explored and may contain fragile marine organisms and/or submerged cultural resources that are vulnerable to uncontrolled exploitation. The Trust utilizes its expertise to explore, document and assist in the creation of plans to protect and/or manage the development of identified marine and sunken cultural resources.

Additionally, The Trust, in connection with its ocean exploration activities and in cooperation with host country officials, will assist in developing marine education programs tailored to meet the needs of the host country and potentially an international market.
